Assam Rifles jawan killed in ambush : AR terms the attack as an act of cowardice

Militant ambushed a patrolling team of the 31 Assam Rifles at Kamjong district today killing a jawan on the spot and injuring a few. The incident reportedly occurred near Skipe village under KamjongChasad police station between 5 to 6 am when the troops were on routine patrolling duty. Police confirmed that a jawan was killed in the attack and injured a few, but the exact number of injured is yet to be established. However, the exact number of the injured could not be established as a police team was reportedly dispatched to get more details of the incident till the time of filing this report. It is learnt that Skipe village is around 37 km away from the Kamjong district headquarters and it takes three hours to reach Skipe village by vehicles.........
