Sri Lanka Navy ships return after successful naval exercise in India

Sri Lanka Navy ships SLNS Sagara and Suranimala, which left for India a week ago on a four-day goodwill visit which also included training exercises, returned to the port of Colombo on completion of their tour.SLNS Sagara and SLNS Suranimala left the island for India on 6th Oct, and reached the Cochin harbor in India on 8th Oct.Following the arrival, Commanding officers of the two Sri Lankan Navy ships met with the Chief of Staff of the Southern Naval Command of Indian Navy Rear Admiral AK Nathkarani and other senior officials for discussions. Commanding Officer of SLNS Sagara Captain Janaka Nissanka also joined in an observation visit to the maintenance unit of the Air Wing of Indian Navy.
