Review of India’s Nuclear Forces – June 2018

Indian nuclear forces have been covered in the SIPRI Year Book 2018 by Shannon N Kile and Hans M Kristensen. The authors estimate the number of warheads to be 130–40 which has been arrived at based on of India’s inventory of weapon-grade plutonium and number of operational nuclear-capable delivery systems. SIPRI estimates that India is expanding  nuclear weapon stockpile and infrastructure for producing nuclear warheads which may result in an increase in numbers..........
