Policy Analysis – Four Strands in India’s Policy on Talks with Pakistan

India Pakistan relations are sliding to a new low each day as the ides of March (2018) have led to accusations, recriminations and note verbale being issued each day. These have emerged as the new mode of communications instead of flag meetings and DGMO periodic telephone interactions seen as crucial to confidence building. When this, “Game of Chicken,” will end remains to be seen? For unless one or both sides accept to “chicken,” the series of impasse are likely to continue.
