OSINT Report: Sochi Short Informal Summit: Yet Substantial Multilateral and Bilateral Agenda

The Modi Putin Sochi Summit against the backdrop of similar summits by Mr Putin with the German, French and Japanese heads of state bespokes of international concerns in times of uncertainty. At the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Mr. Vladimir Putin, , Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is in Sochi today (21 May 2018) for an informal Summit. In the pre-departure statement as has been the form before, Prime Minister Modi states, “Greetings to the friendly people of Russia. I look forward to my visit to Sochi tomorrow and my meeting with President Putin. It is always a pleasure to meet him.  Am confident the talks with President Putin will further strengthen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia.” Vladimir Putin had a meeting with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Bocharov Ruchei residence in Sochi on 18 May and he will be meeting Vladimir Putin with President of France Emmanuel Macron on May 24–25 and meets the Prime Minister of Japan on 26 May.............
