Indian PM meets soldiers Participated in Myanmar raid Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had been silent all through the political storm over Myanmar operations, has quietly met soldiers of the 21 Para Regiment, the special force which took part in cross-border raids in Myanmar last week, according to a report in The Hindu on June 19. The soldiers were in the national capital to meet the Indian prime minister a few days ago. Mr Modi congratulated the Para team and learnt the details of the operation, Defence Ministry sources said. Senior Army officers of the Eastern command were present. About 50 personnel of 21 Para crossed over into Myanmar from Manipur and Assam and targeted two insurgent camps eliminating around 60 insurgents in the action, according to reports. This came da...
