India-US DTTI: Joint Development Not Transfer of Technologies Will Deliver Results

United States and India issued a statement of intent on time line based seven new projects under the DTTI dropping a key one – jet engine. Technology development rather than transfer should be the objective if progress is to be made on DTTI projects working on the BrahMos model.

The 9th Defence Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI) meeting was held between the delegations of India and the United States on 24 October co-chaired by Secretary (Defence Production) Shri Subhash Chandra and Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment of the United States Ms Ellen M Lord.
