India-Sri Lanka joint military exercise Mithra Shakti 2015 underway A two-week long India-Sri Lanka joint military exercise commenced on 29th September in Pune, India with the participation of Special Operation Forces (SOF) of both Indian Army and the Sri Lankan Army. Four officers and 41 Non-Commissioned Officers from Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment (SLLI) of Sri Lanka Army are engaged in joint military exercises with the troops from Indian 2 MAHAR Infantry Regiment in the general area Aundh Military Station in Pune. The Exercise, designed by the Indian and Sri Lankan Armies to share knowledge and experience between SOF of both organizations is being held for the third time.
