India Speaking Softly with a Big Stick

India seems to have taken a cue from the famous quote by then U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, “I have always been fond of the West African proverb: "Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far." While Roosevelt said this much before he assumed Presidency it is a well established fact that this was also his diplomatic style which appears to have now been adopted by New Delhi. .....................At the Shangri La however Prime Minister Modi spoke of peace, respect concord and dialogue............. On 02 June the second test of Agni V this year was conducted the sixth in sequence after the fifth test was carried out on 18-January-2018 which was the third consecutive one from a canister on a road mobile launcher. All the five missions have been successful..........
