India France Rafale IGA – The Details   India concluded an Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) with France for the purchase of 36 Rafale fighter jets at a cost of €7.87 billion on 23 September 2016 in New Delhi. The details of the IGA as reported in the media are as follows:- Deal signed by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and his French counterpart Jean Yves Le Drian. Basic cost of the aircraft is €91.7 million for Single Seater and Euro 94 million for a two seater or about Rs. 680 crore and little over Rs.1600 crore per aircraft for the whole deal. Price of the 36 aircraft is about 3.42 billion Euros. Armaments cost about 710 million Euros India specific changes 1,700 million Euros.
