Defence Budget 2017 – 18 – Looking Beyond the Numbers

The Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre welcomed increase in the capital expenditure by  9.3 percent of the Budget Estimates (BE) for the previous year 2016-17 in a Tweet that said, “9.3% increase in capital outlay for defence ministry. Up to Rs 86,000 cr from Rs 78,000 cr last year.
