Combined Guided Weapon Firing Exercise at Air Force Station Suryalanka

Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa   arrived at Air Force Station Suryalankla on 07 Dec 18 on a two day visit to witness the combined guided weapons firing exercise of Surface to Air Missile. He was received by Air Marshal B Suresh AVSM VM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command and Gp Capt RM Kumarasamy, Station Commander, Air Force Station Suryalanka. This was a first of its kind Exercise undertaken by the Indian Air Force in which firing of four different class of missiles – AKASH, SPYDER, OSA-AK-M and IGLA was successfully carried out on 05th, 07th and 08th Dec 2018 during day and night in an integrated networked environment. The Chief of the Air Staff along with AOC-in-C Southern Air Command and number of other dignitaries witnessed the missile launch. ...................
