China PLA Greets Indian Soldiers on Independence Day at the LAC A traditional border personnel meeting (BPM) was held by the Indian and Chinese sides in Eastern Ladakh in Jammu & Kashmir on the occasion of Indian Independence Day. The meeting underlined the efforts to sustain peace, stability, trust and tranquility on the borders and keeping in view traditions of bonhomie on the occasion on both sides.  The Indian side was led by Brigadier Virk and comprised of Indian Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).  The Indian national flag was unfurled on the occasion and the celebrations also included cultural and entertainment shows and sports events.
