Bangladesh-India hold defence coop dialogue

The first-ever two-day defence cooperation dialogue between Bangladesh and India concluded in India on Tuesday, reports India-based news portal millennium post. The principal staff officer of the Bangladesh Army, lieutenant general Mahafuz Rahman led the Bangladesh delegation while his counterpart was Indian defence secretary Sanjay Mitra. The delegation is likely to meet India national security adviser Ajit Doval before leaving for Dhaka on Thursday, millenniumpost said quoting their sources. It referred to the visit of prime minister Sheikh Hasina to India in April last year when India and Bangladesh had signed a memorandum of understanding on defence cooperation.
