ATGM Helina – High Potential with IIR Seeker & Possible Employment

Deployed on board the Dhruv Light Combat Helicopter, the Helina will  be capable of providing an anti tank fire base for offensive  operations in the plains and desert sector.A press release by the Ministry of Defence on 19 August 2018 declared  that the indigenously developed Helicopter launched Anti-Tank Guided  Missile ‘HELINA’ has been successfully flight tested from Army  Helicopter at 1400hrs in the ranges of Pokhran, today. The weapon  system has been tested for its full range. Helina stands for  Helicopter launched Nag missile, the ground version of which has been  successfully tested.The ‘HELINA’ weapon system released smoothly from the launch platform  tracked the target all through its course and hit the target with high  precision. All the parameters have been monitored by the telemetry  stations, tracking systems and the Helicopters...................
