Rohingya Refugee repatriation to begin in mid-January memorandum

Return of hundreds of thousands of northern Rakhine refugees in Bangladesh would commence within two months, according to MOU signed last week between Myanmar and Bangladesh,joint working group would also be established within three weeks to oversee all aspects of return according to MoU signed in Nay Pyi Taw between U Kyaw Tint Swe and Abul Hassan Mamood,Both Bangladesh and Myanmar also agreed to seek assistance of UN agencies if needed  for repatriation of  over 600,000 Muslim people from northern Rakhine,UNHCR and other mandated UN agencies as well as interested international partners would be invited to take part, as appropriate …………….Please Log in or Subscribe to view full details…..
