Bangladesh Police Deployment in UN Peace Keeping

A 110-member relief contingent of Bangladesh Police has been despatched to join a UN peacekeeping mission in Mali. Since its commencement to serve in different UN Mission, Bangladesh Police has now been the 4th Police Contributing Country (PCC) in the world with remarkable commitments of 653 personnel up to 01 September 2019 as per the Daily Star.

In 1989 the first contingent left to participate in the United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG) in an African state named Namibia – ever since, success stories have flourished the fame with adventurous total number of 19,366 personnel in 22 UN Missions to date as per Bangladesh Police Website......................
