Bangladesh Navy ship SomudraAvijan arrives at Sri Lanka's port of Colombo on goodwill visit

Sri Lanka Navy, in accordance with naval traditions, welcomed the Bangladesh naval ship SomudraAvijan arrived at the Port of Colombo on Saturday. The Commanding Officer of the visiting Bangladesh ship, Commander Zahirul Haque called on the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe at the Western Naval Command Headquarters. They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest and exchanged mementos to mark the occasion, the Navy said. BNS SomudraAvijan is a 115.2m long and 13.1m wide vessel with a displacement capacity of 3367.58 tons. .............................
