Bangladesh JMB Recruits Online

Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of police revealed that the Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) has opted Tor (The Onion Router) browser for fresh recruitments as this allows anonymous communication. Tor is also used by international militant outfits as the Al-Qaeda.

JMB strength at present is estimated to be 40 Ehsar members, Despite bleeding of recruits to the Neo JMB, the outfit had been able to establish a stronghold in several northern districts, including Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Bogura, Rajshahi and Chapainawabgnaj as reported by the Daily Star Bangladesh, Monirul Islam, chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) expressed concerns over targeting of youth through online platforms by the militant groups in the country............................
