UN Security Council Considers Visit To Afghanistan

The president of the UN Security Council says members are considering a visit to Afghanistan to get a better understanding of the war-torn country's prospects and needs."We think it's important for Security Council members to get the update of the situation from the ground," Kazakh Ambassador Kairat Umarov said.Umarov said the members of the council agree on the need for a "more comprehensive approach" that puts a stronger focus on development in Afghanistan and is not limited to increasing security.
