U. S. Officials Retrieve Afghan Situation after Trump Remarks

President Donald Trump’s remarks during a press interaction with the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan that he can end the war in Afghanistan in 10 days by possibly dropping thousands of bombs but does not do so to avoid 10 million casualties was highly insensitive and had expectedly invited very adverse official and unofficial reactions from Kabul. During the press meet with Mr Khan, Mr Trump said “I have plans on Afghanistan that, if I wanted to win that war, Afghanistan would be wiped off the face of the Earth. It would be gone. It would be over in — literally, in 10 days.
