Pentagon Says Hurricane Relief Efforts Slow Afghanistan Deployments

U.S. Defense Department said  militarys response to hurricane that hit Puerto Rico delaying deployment of forces to Afghanistan and other missions throughout  world, Lieutenant General Kenneth McKenzie, director of U.S. military's Joint Staff told reporters  military had  finite number of transport aircraft tied up with deliveries of aid and forces to U.S. territory,that will slow movement to other theaters and cause  slight delay in flow of forces to Afghanistan,Pentagon deployed around 11,000 active-duty and National Guard troops together with around 80 helicopters and more than 100 trucks, to Puerto Rico.…………….Please Log in or Subscribe to view full details…..
