OSINT REPORT – Pakistan Army’s Pashtun Challenge, Taliban, Mines and Missing Persons

Pakistan Army’s reputation as a peace broker between warring groups in the country has suffered a significant jolt with Pashtuns on both sides of the Durand Line resisting minions by the military to give up resistance to authority and accept deals managed by the Khaki. The Army managed to resolve the flag of civilian rebellion raised by two diverse groups. The most recent one was by the Hazara in Balochistan. The Hazaras Shiite Muslims are a minority in Sunni-dominated Pakistan who have been the target of violence – first by Sunni Muslim extremist militant group, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and increasingly by the Islamic State of Khorasan (ISK) an Afghanistan-Pakistan branch of the ISIS or Daesh. The most recent wave of targeted killings in Quetta led to protests and a hunger strike by community leaders who failed to relent in negotiations by the provincial government of Balochistan.........................
