Growing instability in north Afghanistan a major concern Intense fighting in the northern parts of Afghanistan has jolted the national unity government’s resolve to ensure peace and stability in the country said a report in The Express Tribune on May 2. The government has raised concerns over growing instability in a relatively peaceful part of the country as fighting flares up in the northern city of Kunduz in the wake of the Afghan Taliban’s “spring offensive”.
