Bhutan King appoints interim government

His Majesty The King granted a Kasho appointing the interim government yesterday. According to the Article 19 (1) of the Constitution of Bhutan, it states, “Whenever the National Assembly is dissolved, the Druk Gyalpo shall appoint an Interim Government to function for a period which shall not exceed ninety days, to enable the Election Commission to hold free and fair elections.” In accordance with the constitution, His Majesty The King appointed the Chief Justice Dasho Tshering Wangchuk, as the Chief Advisor of the interim government.
