Bhutan Cabinet dissolved as PDP government ends its term

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government’s tenure formally concluded yesterday with the dissolution of the cabinet. The outgoing Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay signed a government order, relinquishing the office of the prime minister. Later in the evening, at a press conference, Dasho Tshering Tobgay said the PDP government has served His Majesty The King with utmost loyalty and dedication. “It’s been an honour and a privilege to serve His Majesty The King for five years and we did so with utmost loyalty and dedication,” he said. “Not everything that we did may have pleased His Majesty but we have always worked keeping in mind His Majesty’s vision.
