India China Agree to Disagree – Foreign Secretary Visit to China and Strategic Dialogue

Reading through the transcripts it is evident that both sides have, “agreed to disagree,” while at the same time are willing to discuss the contentious issues openly. The openness of the discussion denotes hope for the future. It is not clear if Indian concerns on the Chinese encroachment in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) through the CPEC route. India has opened up a number of fronts against China playing the Tibet and the Taiwan card openly while its concerns on the terrorism front are not been addressed by China thus leading to an impasse in strategic engagement.
