Chinese Investments In South Asia May 2018

Chinese companies are continuing investments in South Asia including in India. A Chinese consortium signed a deal to acquire 25 percent stake in Bangladesh’s premier bourse in Dhaka said a Xinhua report.In February this year the Times of India reported that the Chinese consortium had outbid the Indian exchanges which offered 15 Taka per share by offering 22 Taka.The final agreement between Chinese consortium comprising the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) and the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) was signed an agreement with Bangladesh's Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on 14 May.
