3 - Four militants were killed in an encounter in north

11 - Two militants, one of them a self-styled Lashker-e-Toiba commander, were killed in separate gun battles with security forces in Kishtwar and in Rajouri during search operations.
14 A district commander of the Lashkar-e-Taeba (LeT) was killed in Kishtwar forest area.
14 - Security forces busted a hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Anantnag.
15 - Two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants were killed in a fierce encounter with security forces in Beri-Rakh forest in the border district of Poonch in an operation by 37 Rashtriya Rifle (RR). Major Amit Phunge was killed while Colonel Ajay Katoch was injured in the encounter that had started on 13 July.
20 - Two militants including a top commander and a trooper were killed in a gunfight in Hygam area of Sopur in Varmul district.
21 - Nouman, commander of the Pakistan-based Harkat-ul-Mujahedin in
Kashmir
, was killed. Harkat and LeT are reportedly carrying out joint operations due to depletion of strength.
22 - Two militants were killed in a gun battle in Wander bal forest area near Handwara
26 - A top ranking Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen militant was gunned down in Kishtwar district.
